Waterford Kettering; Winner in Ford Focus on Schools Program

Suburban Ford of Waterford sought out Waterford Kettering (Waterford, Michigan) students in the [Ford] Focus on Schools Program, and sponsored them by granting use of a 2012 Ford Focus for the video shoot.

The Focus on Schools Program was aimed at both supporting local schools, but also introducing the redesigned 2012 Focus with cutting-edge technology such as MyKey®, SYNC®, Active park assist, and up to 40 mpg (highway).

Waterford Kettering students wrote, directed, shot, and edited the video submission with the new technology in mind, and titled it "Redefining the Classic" for the Focus on Schools contest.

Each video in the Ford Focus on Schools contest competed for votes from the public out of the 203 submitted videos.

Waterford Kettering posted via Facebook and Twitter to showcase their video and seek votes.

Ford Motor Company awarded 55K to 10 Great Lakes High Schools in the Focus on Schools program. Waterford Kettering placed in the Top 10, winning $5,000 with 2,426 votes.

Waterford Kettering will awarded their check in a presentation on October 4, 2011.
