Updated 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Models Gets More Power from a New Six-Cylinder Powertrain

Mercedes-Benz has been working hard at re-tooling its model lineup for 2020, and it's finally rounding out the updates with new announcements about its GLC SUV and GLC Coupe models.

The newly refreshed 2020 GLC models were unveiled earlier this year, offering lightly altered exterior styling elements. The grille, headlamps, and taillamps all saw updates, as well as various interior features like the standard infotainment system.

But that was only the start. Now, Mercedes-Benz has introduced higher performance models in the AMG GLC 43 SUV and AMG GLC 43 Coupe.

Any time the AMG name comes around, you know you're in for some exciting performance. This stands true with the AMG GLC 43 models. A standard 3.0-liter biturbo V6 jumps up to 385 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. Punch the throttle and the new models will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.

Upgrades in the AMG GLC 43 models go beyond just performance, too. Signature AMG styling elements like a vertical chrome-fin grille, matte black and silver accents, rear diffuser, and dual exhaust pipes.

You'll also find a distinct interior package inside GLC 43 models. Sport seats with MB-Tex/DINAMICA upholstery and red contrast stitching are standard. Aluminum accent pieces are standard throughout as well.

The AMG GLC 43 SUV and Coupe models promise sporty performance, upscale comfort, and commendable utility for those who seek them out. The models are slated for arrival at dealerships late this year.
