Subaru has long been known for strong resale value. With a loyal fanbase of dedicated owners who keep coming back for more, Subaru has managed to keep its models' resale values high while other manufacturers suffer more dire depreciation. Now, the brand's stellar long-term value has been officially recognized.

Four of Subaru's models earned top spots in their respective segments in the 2020 ALG Residual Value Awards:

  • Crosstrek topped the Subcompact Utility segment.
  • Forester won in the Compact Utility segment.
  • Impreza was the winner in the Compact Car segment.
  • WRX earned the top nod in the Sports Car segment.

The ALG Residual Value Awards themselves were developed to identify projected long-term value and depreciation trends in segments across the auto industry. Each year, the awards name the best residual value models from 27 distinct segments. Subaru was able to nab four spots in the 2020 awards.

“We are thrilled that four of our models earned top spots in their segments for the 2020 ALG Residual Value Awards,” said Thomas J. Doll, President and CEO, Subaru of America, Inc. “Subaru strives to consistently offer reliable vehicles that our customers trust to transport their families safely, while retaining their value for years to come.”
