Audi fans, rejoice: The 2020 Audi A6 allroad is coming to America.

Two decades ago, Audi introduced an exciting new wagon model to its lineup in the United States. The A6 allroad brought together SUV capability and wagon aesthetics in a uniquely luxurious package. At the time, there wasn't anything like it on the market. From its high ground clearance to its powerful engine, the original A6 allroad was able to garner a loyal following of fans and enthusiasts.

Now, Audi is bringing this unique vehicle back to American shores. The German automaker recently announced that it plans to bring the new 2020 A6 allroad to the United States with all of the trappings that we love.

Based on looks alone, the new A6 allroad is sure to turn some heads when it arrives stateside. It's all Audi, with its silver and chrome trim pieces, LED running lights, and pronounced fender flares. Naturally, the 2020 A6 allroad comes with the classic long-roof design that wagon enthusiasts love.

The 2020 A6 allroad will have plenty of power as well. Audi has announced that the model will come standard with its turbocharged V6 engine -- powerplant that has yielded impressive acceleration and speed in other Audi models.

And of course it wouldn't be an allroad without adaptive air suspension. This air suspension setup will allow the A6 allroad to raise its ride height for better ground clearance. At its maximum height, the new model will have 7.3 inches of ground clearance. Add in quattro all-wheel drive and hill descent control and you're ready to head out into snow, mud, and more.
