New Updates Arrive for the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport

Land Rover has recently announced that one of its models is getting some compelling updates for the 2020 model year. The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport isn't getting a full redesign, but upgrades to technology, performance, and styling are sure to keep luxury SUV shoppers interested.

Performance: Land Rover has been edging toward a full electrification of its lineup, and this is the latest model to get the treatment. The Land Rover Discovery Sport still gets its standard 246-horsepower four-cylinder Ingenium engine, but now there's a new mild-hybrid option available as well. The new MHEV powertrain lifts output up to 286 horsepower and 48 volts. Additionally, Terrain Response 2 is now standard.

Cosmetics: The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport keeps overall profile and appearance, but minor styling updates keep the aesthetic moving forward. The model gets new bumpers at both ends, a new grille, and new LED headlamps.

Technology: You'll now get the Land Rover InControl Touch Pro infotainment system as a standard feature in any Land Rover Discovery Sport. The system comes with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto -- screen sharing features that let you operate your smartphone through the touchscreen.

Interior: The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport is now available with sustainable cabin materials like non-leather Luxtex, which is made from recycled polyester.
