After nearly a decade of producing the legendary Aventador supercar, Lamborghini is adding some finishing touches in the form of a new special edition. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster is a fine-tuned, high-power performance car with drop-top style.

Lamborghini introduced the Aventador back in 2011, making a splash in the exotic automotive world along the way. Since then, the Aventador has continued the brand's reputation for loud styling, loud engines, and elite performance. With the new Aventador SVJ Roadster, Lamborghini is adding yet another to the cap of its flagship supercar.

Part of what makes the new model special is its powertrain. You'll get a standard 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 located, as expected, in the middle. The raucous power plant is good for up to 759 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automated manual transmission and all-wheel drive deliver that power to the pavement.

This all comes together to produce some exceptional performance numbers. Testers have clocked the Aventador SVJ Roadster running from zero to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and hitting 100 mph in 6 seconds. Lamborghini claims a top speed of 217 mph.

Along with this stupendous performance, you'll get all the flash and visual excitement that you expect from a Lamborghini. Added air ducts, wings, and other aero elements give the car an even more aggressive appearance than previous Aventador models. Plus, its convertible design means you can enjoy the open-air while running up on the speed limit in seconds.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster will be a limited-production model, with the brand capping the run at 800 examples.
